ryogenic System Upgrades to the Coherent CAPTAIN Mills Experiment for the upcoming CCM200 run Abstract: The Coherent CAPTAIN-Mills (CCM) experiment operates at the Lujan facility at LANSCE. The experiments uses a 10-ton liquid argon scintillation detector to search for muon neutrino disappearance at LSND neutrino energies. The light yield was much lower than expected in the previous run cycle and the problem was identified as oxygen and water contaminants in the bulk fluid. In the upcoming run cycle, we will commission a filtration system that will attempt to solve this problem by removing the contaminants from the LAr. In this talk, I will discuss the design of the system, potential operating modes, and desirable performance outcomes.
